The Great British Rail Sale returns this month, and local train operator c2c is urging customers to take advantage of up to 50% off Off-Peak return tickets on selected services across the route during February and March.

East London and South Essex train operator c2c is pleased to be taking part in this year’s ‘the Great British Rail Sale,’ an industry initiative, which brings train firms across England and Wales together to offer up to 50% off selected adult and child Advance and Off-Peak tickets on over 1 million journeys.

The Great British Rail Sale promotional tickets – which can be used for travel on a number of c2c Off-Peak services between 7 February and 15 March 2024 – will be available for c2c customers to buy online and in the c2c app from today (Tuesday 23 January) through until Monday 29 January.

c2c’s Managing Director, Rob Mullen, said: “We are delighted to again be taking part and offering our customers even greater value day fares as part of the Great British Rail Sale.

“With up to 50% off our standard Off-Peak day return tickets during February and part of March, I urge customers to take full advantage of this fantastic offer and to get planning and buying their tickets the moment they go on sale on Tuesday (23rd).”

The Great British Rail Sale promotion does not apply to c2c’s existing online advance, Railcard and other discounted fares, and all tickets must be purchased at least seven days in advance of travel.

Rob Mullen added: “Customers can help beat those winter blues by taking a trip with c2c into London, spending a day shopping at Lakeside (Chafford Hundred) or enjoying a seafront walk along the Thames Estuary down in Southend-on-Sea.”
