  Chafford Hundred is home to one of Europe’s largest shopping centre’s, Lakeside. The station is directly connected to the shopping centre making it very easy to access, so you don’t have to spend ages circling around the car park. Nearby you’ll also find Lakeside Go Karting, the largest and fastest in Essex, as well as picturesque Chafford Gorge, which makes a perfect spot for a picnic.

• What to do other than shopping?

  In Chafford Hundred, you can visit Lakeside Go Karting, the largest and fastest in Essex. This one is great for all ages with electric go-karts available for the younger and/or less experienced ones. This great track gives you the chance to race against others and also go against the clock, so you don’t have to worry about that race pressure.

  During the summer months, you can go to the Lakeside Aqua Park to try your hand at 30+ inflatable obstacle courses and giant slides.

  If you fancy a bit of nature in Chafford Hundred, go for a visit to the Chafford Gorge, which makes a perfect spot for a picnic. This 200-acre space has paths that twist around lakes, meadows and woodlands and is home to plenty of wildlife for you to try and spot on your journey.
