To benefit from this scheme, do I have to be a student?

Yes, you do. Available for all colleges who are signed up to the scheme (and for full-time* students) the c2c student discount entitles you to reduced train travel on c2c. Making it even easier for you to visit family and friends, or just take a day trip with uni pals, the discount ensures your journey by train is even more doable.

How much will I save with the Student Smartcard?

You’ll enjoy 1/3 off Weekly or longer term Season tickets; when you select your journey online, the fares with a discount will appear with an *.

Where can I buy discounted tickets?

Once you’ve collected your c2c Student Smartcard, you’ll be able to buy your discounted Season tickets online only. To redeem your discount, make sure you use the same email address you used to register for your c2c Smartcard, alongside the last eight digits on your Smartcard. When you first purchase your ticket, you’ll be asked to register an online booking account; again, please use the same email address.

How do I get the student discount?

All you need to do is register online; we will then send your student discount Smartcard to your college and you will receive a link via email to buy your discounted ticket. Once you get your Smartcard, you will need to use the last eight digits of your c2c Smartcard to get your discount.
