c2c has partnered with Essex Chambers of Commerce and two of Southend’s leading tourist attractions, Adventure Island and Sealife Adventure, to offer great value day trips and weekends out for everyone – individuals, couples, families, groups – travelling to Southend from East London and South Essex this summer.
These attractions are just a short 10-minute walk from c2c’s Southend Central station, and with kids travelling for just £2, and a range of great value family and group rail tickets available to purchase online or at the station, your trip out to the ‘Essex Riviera’ with c2c and Adventure Island offers fantastic and unrivalled value.
c2c rail fares this summer:
- Kids travel for £2 – When accompanied by a paying adult, up to four children (aged 5-15) can travel on any c2c off-peak service for just £2 return during school holidays and at the weekend. Children under 5 travel free.
- Online advance discount – Customers can save 40% on the standard fare when buying off-peak return rail tickets online from the c2c website or app three or more days in advance of travel.
- GroupSave – You can save 1/3 off your rail tickets with GroupSave, available for groups of between three and nine people on all off-peak fares.

Customers requiring long-stay parking either in Southend or at locations across the route are reminded that c2c stations offer safe and secure off-peak parking from as little as £5 per day during the week and £8 for a full weekend.
Recently voted the best value amusement park in the UK (BravoVoucher, April 2024), as well as being the top-rated theme park in Essex, Adventure Island offers free admission and all-day wristbands for just £20 (Annual Passes are £40), or a simple ‘pay as you go’ offer on all 40 rides and attractions.
